Solheim Lutheran Home Is this your business? Welcome to Solheim Lutheran Home Providing Quality Retirement Living Since 1923 Solheim - which means sun home, in Norwegian - is definitely bright in its outlook, providing a vital life for seniors. With excellent Skilled Nursing and Memory Care, Solheim is ready to serve the frailer adult as he or she ages, but we are poised to enhance the life of all senior residents. Solheim boasts 8 activity directors specializing in organizing lectures, classes, concerts, crafts and outings for all four levels of care. As a continuing care retirement community, or CCRC, Solheim provides all levels of care for older adults. In California, under a third of the continuing care retirement communities provide all four levels of care. Our staff-resident ratio maintains our leadership in quality senior care. Residential Assisted Living Memory Care Skilled Nursing Residential Living at Solheim means choosing to live in a private one bedroom or studio apartment with a monthly fee that includes 3 meals a day, book club, bell choir, men's club, concerts, movies and more. It means you have the support of an entire living community with camaraderie when desired, but also the privacy of your own apartment. Assisted Living at Solheim is a residential level with more help from our nursing and housekeeping staff. You still need to be ambulatory - not fast and not without the aid of a cane or walker - but ambulatory. Solheim Memory Care excels with nursing and activity staff working closely together to meet the residents' specific physical and social needs. With around the clock nursing staff, 3 activity directors, private rooms with private bathrooms, 2 dining rooms, a beautiful outdoor courtyard, and delayed egress doors, Solheim Memory Care is one of the finest. Individuals are afforded utmost respect, yet it isn't assumed they will be able to function on their own; a structured environment facilitates fulfillment and success for them. Skilled Nursing is for person who is no longer ambulatory, even with a cane or walker, or for one who needs total care, which is provided and tailored to each person's special needs. This is what many refer to as a nursing home or convalescent home. Physical, occupational and speech therapy is offered on site. Solheim's nursing facility has a long reputation for excellence, with good reason. 3 Activity Directors in Skilled Nursing Chapel Service Sunday morning in Skilled Nursing Concert outings Daily ambulation program (RNA) Diet tailored to specific needs Wellness Center supervised by PTA Pet therapy with our canine mini-therapists Wellness Center at Solheim is a lively, fun exercise center situated at the center of Solheim, adjacent to a lovely patio with fountain and garden borders.
