About
Academy Villas The personalized care, beautiful settings and extensive amenities of the The Academy Villas create a new kind of assisted living for its residents. PERSONALIZED CARE Caregivers are involved in all aspects of life in the Villas, from food preparation and meal service to administrating medications and assisting members with challenging tasks. Because our caregivers are extensively engaged in all aspects of life in the Villas, they forge strong bonds with members so that, together, they collaborate on care and well-being, and delight in each other’s company. BEAUTIFUL SETTINGS Two stand-alone residences, nestled in the Rincon Valley, accommodate 14 and 16 community members, respectively, in huge private guest rooms and inviting common spaces. Bringing these attractive architectural features together with highly trained caregivers achieves not only an exceptionally high standard of care, but also an environment that is engaging and secure for our community members. EXTENSIVE AMENITIES The Academy Villas are situated in the heart of a small, highly engaged 55+ community known as Academy Village. In addition to the array of amenities available in the Villas, community members have ready access to additional amenities offered by the village, from a swimming pool, spa and tennis courts to musical concerts, fascinating lectures, and new learning opportunities. Interesting books are available from the Tucson Public Library bookmobile, in addition to two 0n-site libraries. Perhaps more importantly, Villagers take pride in the aging-in-location opportunities provided by the Villas and enjoy their involvement with Villas’ residents and staff. NON-PROFIT AND LOCALLY MANAGED The Academy Villas are owned and operated by a tax-exempt, non-profit organization located within Academy Village. The vast majority of the Villas’ revenue is spent on personalized care, quality of life, providing amenities, and maintaining the facilities; very little is expended on administration and no funds are allocated to profit. What Makes Us Special Looking out of the many windows in the Villas or sitting on the courtyard, you will see the 8,400 feet high Rincon Peak and the beautiful hills and valleys that surround it. The sunrises and sunsets are very special here.
