I was out ofstate when my grandfather moved in there so naturally as soon as i got back i hussled right over and i was shocked as i rolled up to see a familar building.

The rooms are shared rooms and not very big, but I like the way they\u2019re laid out because they give the patients a lot of privacy.

But, I don't think Baywind was thrilled to have my Mother who has Alzheimer's and needed transfer assistance.

Being that his lower extremities were weak! I sent him to a \" SUPPOSEDLY SKILLED FACILITY\" in Alvin! He was there for approximately 40 days! Prior to surgery he was very independent, could walk on his own,and truly loved the outdoors & would walk a mile daily, dress himself, shower and use the restroom! When he came out of this facility in Alvin he was very \"Dependant\" They failed him miserably! He now wears diapers and I change them, shower him, get him dressed, assist him on getting out of bed or chair, basically he can no longer do ANYTHING BY HIMSELF! It is heart breaking to see my 73 year old father that was once full of life & spunk spiral down to where he is now! He just had another surgery, which his doctor (New Doctor) if recommending that he go into a skilled nursing facility for physical therapy! Someone highly recommend Baywind Village, was told they had a \"5\" star rating! I spoke with Beth and met with her that same day for a tour of the facility! Wow! I was so impressed, the \"5\" star rating DOES NOT even compare! If there were a \"100\" star rating, that's what I would give them! As I drove between the BEAUTIFUL trees and land scaping, I could see their BEAUTIFUL Christmas tree all lit up and sparkling! As I entered I was greeted by a very well dressed, nice employee, I then met with Beth! From the moment I spoke with her on the telephone and meeting her I felt in my heart that this is where my father was meant to be and have his therapy! Beth listened to me all of my concerns and horrible past experience with the facility in Alvin.
