Bella Vista is an assisted living and independent living community in Oshkosh near Lake Winnebago and Menomonee Park and Zoo. The community operates both a CBRF (Community Based Residential Facility) and RCAC (Residential Care Apartment Complex) under one roof, allowing residents to transition between care levels without relocating. Assisted living residents receive help with activities of daily living, medication management, and transportation to medical appointments and local shopping.
Staff are on-call 24 hours and monitor residents through an emergency response system. Independent living residents have access to on-site maintenance and housekeeping, with housekeeping visits included. Both assisted and independent living residents have access to scheduled activities and outings, a fitness center, media room, beauty and barber shop, and dining prepared on-site.
Bella Vista offers personalized care plans for assisted living residents and maintains programs including Wellness Everyday, Brain Health University, and Dining for Wellness throughout the week. Apartments range from 517 to 1,220 square feet with individual climate control. Utilities are included for independent residents (except telephone and cable); assisted living residents have utilities and basic cable included.
The building was formerly Mercy Medical Hospital and underwent renovation. Bella Vista received a Best of Winnebago County award in 2012, as voted by county residents.
