About
Blue Rose Legacy Home Care, LLC The Blue Rose Legacy Home Care Company Story: My husband and I have both had long careers in the corporation world. We were called to start Blue Rose Legacy Home Care in honor of our parents. We have both been privileged to help take care of our parents in their later adult years and we recognize the difficulties associated with doing a great job of caring for family residents in addition to all of our other life work. My sisters, also having had long careers in the corporate world have joined us in this journey because they too feel called to do more with their lives and are passionate about helping others as part of Blue Rose Legacy. The experience of caring for and losing our parents has evoked a greater understanding of our location in this world and the importance of living according to God’s plan. We believe that Blue Rose Legacy will give us the ability to take care of our family and our lives while taking care of our community as well. Blue Rose Legacy Home Care – Cognitive Retention Therapy Cognitive Retention Therapy (CRT) Program™ is a structured program of cognitive exercises based on the materials originally created by Dr. Mira Ashby. They incorporate each person’s special life story in a profoundly personal and meaningful way. The object of CRT is to stimulate and reinforce existing memories that are being lost to the progression of Dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and due to trauma related to injury and stroke. Results are encouraging and often include improved social functioning, greater self-esteem, and re-engagement in activities of daily living. Some preliminary results are even showing improvements in cognitive testing. Blue Rose Legacy Home Care – Training, Education and Resources Blue Rose Legacy Home Care is dedicated to education on caregiver issues in our local community. We are available for public speaking engagements to local organizations. Topics include: Fall Prevention and Recovery, Care Planning, Memory Loss, Seniors Housing and much more.
