On her final day of life, I found the nursing staff to be helpful during my daytime visit, but the night nurse I spoke with over the phone later in the evening to check on her deteriorating condition was unprofessional and rude and passed along incorrect information saying she was 'fine'.

It touched me that the home would organize opportunities for the residents to interact with the community outside of the home.

I believe their priorities are misplaced in that CNA\/nursing pay, benefits, and staffing levels suffer while the facility is heavy with administrators that have nothing to do with the day-to-day care of vulnerable residents.

Grandmother preferred to read in her room most of the time, but a lot of the residents liked to be out visiting, and there was always a crowd of them talking or playing cards, or watching tv out in the common areas.
