About Canterbury On The Lake
Canterbury on the Lake offers three levels of care on one campus: Independent Senior Living Apartments, Assisted Living (The Leas), and a Medicare-certified Health Center for short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing care. All residents have access to the skilled rehab services.
Independent apartments come in studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom with den, and two-bedroom floor plans. Each includes a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and utilities except phone. All apartments have 24-hour emergency alert systems and wireless internet. Housekeeping is provided every other week, and scheduled transportation is available for errands and appointments. Daily exercise classes run at multiple fitness levels: strength and balance, low-impact aerobics, walking clubs, and yoga.
The Leas Assisted Living is designed to support residents at varying levels of independence. The community has 24-hour staffing, an onsite clinic with nursing coordination, and personal care assistance with daily living tasks. Residents receive weekly housekeeping and laundry service, medication reminders, and a wireless emergency alert system. Dining is offered in a restaurant-style room, and the chapel provides worship space. Scheduled transportation covers groceries, banks, retail, and outings to museums, sporting events, and casinos; personal trips to doctor appointments or family events can also be arranged. Activities include crafts, music therapy, gardening, swimming, computers, Wii sports, and bingo. The community maintains a full calendar of recreational, spiritual, and activity programs throughout the year.

I looked at two rooms; one was a one-bedroom and a den, and the other one was a two-bedroom, which was very nice but expensive.
