About Carillon Lifecare Community

The community is managed by Life Care Services, which operates over 100 communities nationwide. That way if my aunt wanted to spend time by herself or decide to go to the pool she would be able to do so as she pleased to a certain extent.

They have a couple of restaurants so we didn't have to leave the facility to get something to eat.

Three residents opened their rooms for me to come and look in, and they were very nice.

It has that connotation of being for people that has lots of money and no longer want to keep a large home, so they'll sell their home or donate.

The facilities were clean and up-to-date, though the nursing wing often seemed somewhat dim and I never quite adjusted to the very obviously barred doors and somewhat elaborate procedure to get in and out of the wing.
