Franke Tobey Jones, founded in 1924, is a nonprofit continuing care retirement community on 20 acres in Tacoma's North End, adjacent to Point Defiance Park. The community offers independent living in Tudor-style homes, plus assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care on the same campus. Independent living residents have no entrance fee (except for duplexes and garden apartments, which do); entrance fees are fully refundable after five years.
The community includes a 6,000-square-foot wellness center, a café, beauty services, and a putting green. Residents have priority access to assisted living and memory care if their needs change.
It offers assisted living communities, heritage woods senior living, independent living facilities, brookdale senior living, memory care homes, atria senior living, continuing care retirement communities, the village at orchard ridge, skilled nursing facilities, and sunrise senior living. They gave us the grand tour and even gave us an option on coming and spending 2 or 3 days there, and it was very pleasant.
