Friendship Village Columbus

Friendship Village Columbus is a nonprofit Life Plan Community established in 1978, governed by an independent board and managed by United Church Homes. The community offers three levels of care: independent living, assisted living (Ridgewood), and a health care center.

Independent living residents choose from studio, one-, two-, or three-bedroom apartments and garden apartments with private patios and garages. The inclusive monthly fee covers one meal daily in the dining room, weekly laundry service, semi-monthly housekeeping, scheduled transportation, utilities, phone and cable, 24-hour emergency nursing, trash removal, and access to a fitness center, computer lab, library, arts studio, woodworking shop, billiard room, beauty salon, wellness clinic, bank, and village store. Residents manage their own schedules and household decisions while forgoing home maintenance.

Ridgewood Assisted Living provides support for those needing help with daily tasks. Residents have private suites with emergency call systems and kitchenettes for light meals; two chef-prepared meals are also served daily. The inclusive monthly fee covers 24-hour personal care assistance, three daily meals, care planning by a registered nurse, structured activities, housekeeping and weekly laundry, utilities, cable, chaplain services, and access to the same amenities as independent living, plus on-site therapy services. Staff assist with medication administration, mobility, bathing, dressing, grooming, and cognitive support as needed. Short-term respite stays and outpatient therapy are available.

The community features two dining rooms, a fitness center, therapy gym, library, computer lab, beauty and barber services, bank, general store, walking paths, and personal gardening areas. A chaplain is on staff, and 24-hour security is available throughout the Village.
