About Grand Traverse Pavilions
Grand Traverse Pavilions is a county-owned senior living community operated by the Grand Traverse County Department of Human Services Board. The 28-acre campus houses more than 300 residents and employs more than 400 staff. Originally established in the early 20th century, the community has maintained its historic architecture while integrating modern amenities.
The facility has operated without county subsidy for nearly two decades and provided more than $3 million in benevolent care last year.
It offers independent living communities, assisted living facilities, memory care units, continuing care retirement communities, skilled nursing facilities, respite care services, active adult communities, senior co-housing, life plan communities, and senior living residences. The transportion to take her places she wanted to go, was helpful when it came to a point when we could no longer get Her into our own cars.

Whether it was kidding with her , and having the patience to await a response! , taking her to play word games or listen to music that challenged her to respond during her stay.
