Hayes Manor Retirement Residence is an independent, non-profit community in Philadelphia near the Main Line, offering independent living apartments and personal care rooms. Founded in 1886, the community serves older adults with limited financial resources and provides housing, meals, healthcare, and support services on one campus. The 12 independent living apartments and 53 personal care rooms include individually controlled heating and air conditioning, with many rooms overlooking the adjacent Bala Golf Club.
Daily meals, housekeeping, laundry service, and 24-hour staff are available to all residents. On-site services include a barber and beautician. The Activities Office schedules regular programs including exercise classes, yoga, painting, crafts, and computer classes, along with outings to concerts, plays, museums, and other venues.
The community also holds weekly happy hours, regular movies, in-house entertainment, religious services in the Dreer Memorial Chapel, and celebrations for holidays and residents' birthdays and anniversaries. A 24-hour security system is in place.
