Hedgewood Home for Adults Located in the charming town of Beacon in Dutchess County, New York, Hedgewood HFA /ALP facility is located close to the town’s local antique shops and cafes, the Beacon Museum, the Beacon Theater, as well as its neighborhood parks. Hedgewood is a modern and fully furnished 192-bed facility. It offers members comfortable accommodations, nutritious food, and an array of creative and innovative programs. Hedgewood's accessible to the town’s municipal bus, providing fitting commuter service throughout the county, and to the neighboring town of Poughkeepsie. We offer the New York State Assisted Living Program (ALP): This program is certified by the New York State Department of Health to provide Medicaid-funded home care services. The ALP is an alternative to nursing home that enables nursing home eligible residents to receive home health care services in the Adult Home, delaying or preventing the require for admission to a nursi ng home. Care services are provided by an on-site licensed home care agency and a community certified home health agency (CHHA) under contract. At Hedgewood HFA/ ALP, we work hard to ensure an independent living space, where everyone can thrive and succeed. We offer just the right level of assistance tailored to each resident’s individual needs, enabling each person to live in the most independent and least restrictive space.
