About Heritage Monona
Heritage Assisted Living at Monona is a 40-apartment community offering studio, one, and two-bedroom units. The facility is licensed to provide assisted living care for seniors who do not require skilled nursing. Residents receive 24-hour staffing, assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, medication reminders), and meal service including three meals daily plus snacks.
The community includes shared dining, a pub area, and patios. Enhanced Assisted Living is also available on-site for residents with higher physical and medical care needs, featuring a higher staff-to-resident ratio and additional support for medication administration, mealtime assistance, and mobility cueing. The Memory Care neighborhood serves residents with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
The unit features a simplified floor plan designed to support wayfinding, with private rooms, appropriate lighting, and flooring choices based on dementia care research. Staff are trained in dementia care and work with registered nurses and residents' physicians to coordinate medication management, nutrition, and activities. Three meals daily are provided, with options for specialized diets.
The community offers social and cognitive engagement activities and health monitoring.
