Joy Assisted Living opened in 1995 as a family-owned assisted living community in the Ozarks. It is not a nursing home. The facility serves seniors who need help with daily activities but want to remain independent. Staff provide 24-hour support with bathing, dressing, medication management, and other tasks. The building is single-level and fully accessible, with no stairs. A 2001 expansion added private dining, an activity room, and larger suites.
The community offers private and shared rooms, all fully furnished unless residents prefer their own furniture. Each room has a call button connected to the nurse's station, cable television, and either a private or shared bathroom. Meal plans are included; a licensed dietician oversees menus and can accommodate dietary restrictions. Two dining rooms serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
An activities coordinator arranges outings to local attractions—baseball games, theaters in Branson, shopping, and community events.
