Magnolia Manor of Macon is a not-for-profit senior living community operated by the United Methodist Church and chartered in 1959. It serves older adults of all faiths across South Georgia and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 charitable organization. The Macon campus, which opened in 1983, operates three residential settings: independent living with 120 one- and two-bedroom apartments, a personal care building with 24 newer apartments for residents needing assistance with daily activities like medication management and housekeeping, and access to skilled nursing and memory care through the organization's other campuses.
Independent living apartments include full kitchens, living rooms, and patios or balconies. Utilities (except telephone), maintenance, 24-hour staffing, an emergency response system, individually controlled heating and air, laundry facilities, and one daily meal are provided. The campus also offers a dining room, activities building, beauty and barber shop, wellness center, scheduled local transportation, religious services, and parking.
Personal care residents receive three meals daily and have access to the Linda H. Lane Resident Life Center, which houses a salon, fitness room, and heated pool. The community is located near downtown Macon and Riverside, with a small lake on the grounds.
Residents can participate in social activities and dining options ranging from the formal dining room to private meals in their apartments. Assisted living can be arranged as residents' care needs change.
