It did not work, she only slept in small increments when the other patient was asleep.

Unbelievably, I learned at her discharge day that she was being prescribed both stool softeners and laxatives for her bowel impaction!?! She could not stop going to the bathroom, and it was obvious that the nurses and prescribing doctors did not communicate with each other about fact that someone with diarrhea was on an inappropriate medication, or else they don't care.
