Right at Home specializes in home care, facility care and assistance for seniors and disabled adults. Our goal is to keep each client in their familiar surroundings as long as possible improving their quality of life, while maintaining their dignity and respect. We are flexible and do as little as 1 hour per week up to 24 hours per day 7 day a week. Why home care instead of an independent or assisted community? Home is where the heart is. Home care is an alternative to moving to an independent or assisted living community. Our homes are familiar and comfortable; they hold many memories of family and with the good times with old friends and neighbors! Home care allows the ability to have “one on one” care on your schedule; this allows you to have personalized care with a caregiver that knows you and what you like. Most of the time, home care can be very cost effective and gives you the ability to stay at home and maintain your quality of life. This also allows you to maintain your privacy, dignity and independence by staying in the place that means the most-HOME. How do we develop a plan to help my loved one? From the moment Right at Home receives your phone call, we begin considering the needs for your loved one. When discussing your situation, we will set–up a home assessment to finalize your plan of care and go over our service agreement. When starting service, a staff member does a caregiver introduction along with in-person training for your loved one’s specific needs. What are some of the services Right at Home provides? Respite Care for family Wake up and tuck in assistance Personal care: Bathing/Hygiene Incontinence Care/ Toileting Medication reminders Light housekeeping & laundry Meal planning, preparation & clean-up Transfers & assist with mobility Exercise routine and reminders Companionship & conversation Assist with pet care (dog walking, litter box) Transportation (Appointment, errands & shopping) What makes Right at Home stand out? We offer 1 hour visits up to 24 hour care. All caregivers are our employees and are fully insured, bonded and screened. You are not locked into a contract. We have a service agreement that discloses pricing and what to expect. You may cancel at anytime without penalties. Family owned 24 hour employee on call, not a phone service Who will be taking care of Mom and Dad? We hire caring, kind and compassionate individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of seniors. One of our sayings: “We will not hire an employee unless we would let that employee care for our own parents.” Our caregivers are trained and we provide additional training when special situations come up. Right at Home offers online training, resources, and requires quarterly in-person training. Here are some of our requirements and training for our employees: Annual National background check Insured, bonded and covered by work’s compensation Mandatory Drug Test CPR & First Aid Certified Current Tuberculosis skin test Paid Training (Mandatory quarterly training): Fall Risk Safe Transfers (including Hoyer) Hospice Bathing Incontinence Specialized care: Parkinson’s COPD Diabetes Dementia/ Alzheimer’s Are the little things in life becoming hard to do for you or a loved one?
