About Silvergate San Marcos
Silvergate Retirement Residence has operated in North San Diego County for more than 20 years, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The community is located near Lake San Marcos, with access to restaurants, shopping, and theaters in the area. Silvergate is locally owned and operated by AmeriCare Health & Retirement, Inc. and was recognized as one of San Diego's best retirement communities in The Union Tribune's readers poll.
Independent living residents pay one inclusive monthly rate covering three daily meals, weekly housekeeping and linen service, utilities (excluding cable and phone), scheduled transportation, 24-hour front desk and security, 24-hour emergency response system, apartment maintenance, reserved parking, and a calendar of activities and outings. Assisted living services are available at additional cost. A Director of Resident Care, licensed nurses, and 24-hour caregivers provide support. Available services include medication management, help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities, escort assistance, weight and blood pressure monitoring, continence care, and diabetes management.
The Memory Care Suites serve residents with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. These units feature private or semi-private rooms, daily licensed nursing, meals and snacks, staff trained in dementia care, 24-hour monitoring and supervision, a secured perimeter, and access to secure outdoor grounds. The monthly rate for memory care includes specialized activities and daily housekeeping.
