Sumter Place in The Villages is an assisted living community with traditional assisted living, a licensed adult day care program, and a separate memory care section, located on SR 466A in The Villages between Buena Vista Boulevard and Morse Boulevard. The community is rental-based, not buy-in, and opened in 2012 with 108 apartments designed in a neighborhood-concept layout. Memory care, with 40 private studios, opened in late 2014.
Residents can access The Villages amenities, including 36 golf courses, 19 recreation centers, pools, exercise facilities, tennis, and pickleball. Sumter Place provides 24-hour medical staff, on-site physician clinic, assistance with medications and personal care, chef-prepared meals served restaurant-style, weekly housekeeping with linens provided, scheduled transportation for medical appointments and errands, respite care, and a senior day program. The community includes common areas, a restaurant, activity rooms, exercise gym, beauty and barber shop, bistro, wireless internet, golf cart parking and charging stations, pet-friendly policy, and private dining options.
Residents receive medication management, check-in and emergency call-alert systems, and access to on-site maintenance and landscaping services.
