The Arboretum sits on 16 wooded acres in Menomonee Falls with a private pond, surrounded by nature but minutes from shopping. Laureate Group, which operates the community, has served seniors in the region for nearly 50 years.
The community offers independent and assisted living apartments in various sizes. Common spaces, grounds, and on-site dining are included. A full-time Lifestyle Director schedules monthly programming across social, wellness, creative, educational, and spiritual categories, with separate calendars for residents with higher care needs and those with dementia.
Activities span social gatherings (coffee hour, knitting, trivia, bridge, birthday parties), wellness (morning stretch, gym, chair yoga, tai chi, walking club, blood pressure clinics), creative pursuits (handbell choir, chorus, line dancing, writing workshops, crafts), and spiritual observance (Lutheran and Catholic services, prayer groups, volunteer-led hymn sessions). There were times my father complained that they were taking the food from him when he wasn't finished.

However, the biggest part why we didn't decide to go for The Arboretum was that we didn't have access to the outside without going through the main lobby.
