About The Hearthstone
The Hearthstone is a nonprofit continuing care retirement community founded in 1966 by the Lutheran Retirement Home of Greater Seattle. The 10-story building sits across from Green Lake, with each resident apartment including a balcony. The community maintains a Lutheran chaplaincy with weekly Vespers services, Bible study, and Communion available for interested residents.
The building houses a Steinway Grand Piano, and musicians perform regularly. 8-mile paved path around Green Lake is used by residents for walking or running. The community schedules weekly activities and wellness lectures on various health topics.
It offers sunset gardens, maplewood retreat, silver creek lodge, golden oaks residence, harmony haven, cedar ridge estates, willow springs apartments, and the evergreen place.
