The Homeplace at Midway The Homeplace at Midway accommodates community members at all levels of care within four comfortable, homelike cottages. While each resident enjoys his or her own private bedroom and bath, other areas of the cottages, including the kitchen, living room, den and porch are shared. The design of each cottage is centered around an open, inviting kitchen and living area that encourage people to come together and enjoy one another’s company at their leisure. This is where members enjoy meals freshly prepared by our staff, lively conversation, camaraderie and engaging programs and activities – it’s truly the heart of the home. The Homeplace campus features an Assisted Living cottage for members who need periodic assistance with daily happenings, such as bathing, dressing, eating, walking, etc. Our Memory Carecottage accommodates community members with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other cognitive impairments. Two Skilled Nursing Care cottages serve community members in need of short-term rehabilitation or long-term care. Each cottage accommodates 12 members, creating a close-knit community where members can receive personalized attention and quality care. In addition to The Homeplace at Midway’s residential cottages, the Lucy Simms Lloyd Gathering House – our community cottage – is just a quick walk down the road. Here you can find our administrative support offices as well as space for social gatherings, worship services and engaging happenings. And, of course, every amount of care is delivered with the Best Friends™ Approach, ensuring each resident at The Homeplace at Midway is cared for at a deep, personal amount. Memory Care at The Homeplace at Midway Personalized, Supportive Care We provide dignified, supportive Memory Care for those living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive impairments. Our Memory Care residents are cared for in a secure, calming space that encourages a sense of peace so they can enjoy their best days. Our skilled team of caregivers provides personalized care that meets each individual’s needs and builds strong, trusted friendships. The Best Friends™ Approach to care is especially beneficial to our Memory Care residents. Our caregivers become their Best Friends, learning their stories and individual challenges in order to offer the greatest level of support and encouragement possible.
