Villas of Holly Brook - Herrin The Villas of Holly Brook is the premier assisted living community for senior adults in Southern Illinois, managed by Meridian Senior Living, the national leader in providing quality care for seniors. The community offers 1BR & 2BR apartment floor plans, with deluxe 2BR apartments available. Staffing includes a 40-hour/week RN on site and CNAs to provide support with activities of daily living. Our community offers gracious residential living in a home-like setting with a dedicated and knowledgeable staff available 24 hours/day to meet the personal needs of each resident. Every resident remembers what it was like to move into a new home, so all current members reach out to a new resident to make the tr ansition to The Villas of Holly Brook a successful one. Activities The Villas of Holly Brook employs a full time Activity Director. Activities are very diverse, and everyone is encouraged to attend as each person chooses. We won’t knock on your door to remind you of an activity that you have not chosen to participate in. We will, however, remind you to attend those activities which are your favorites. A monthly calendar is provided to remind everyone of activity dates and times. Examples of current happenings are as follow: Bingo, coffee hour, morning devotion, Church services, unique Communion offerings, Jeopardy , blackjack, card games, word games, crafts, monthly birthday party celebration, baking activities, chair exercises, exercise equipment use, nails painting, karaoke, shopping trips, and more. One of the most exciting features of The Villas of Holly Brook is the live entertainment presented for members’ enjoyment by local volunteers from colleges, high schools, violin classes, dance courses, etc. We have enjoyed Christmas caro ling, country music, opera, and cabaret, and almost any other type of music you may think of. We enjoy inter-generational programs with a wonderful local daycare for children. If a resident moves in who has a hobby or interest that we are not currently engaged in, we will work together to start that activity and promote interest among our current residents.
