About Wesleyan Village
Wesleyan Senior Living operates three communities in the Elyria area: Wesleyan Village for assisted living, Beacon House for memory care, and Wesleyan Meadows for independent seniors. As a nonprofit, the organization reinvests revenue into operations and services rather than distributing profits to shareholders. Wesleyan Village provides meals, housekeeping, and maintenance-free living.
Residents have access to a salon, postal services, and on-site banking. Some plans cover utilities and basic cable. The community offers a pool, whirlpool, fitness classes, arts and crafts, chapel services, and social programs both on campus and off-site.
Beacon House Memory Care serves residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other memory conditions. The program uses an interdisciplinary team—gerontologists, physicians, nurses, and case managers—to develop individualized care plans. Memory Care residents live in secured areas with trained staff available 24/7.
The community includes a garden courtyard, provides family-style meals and medication management, and offers activities like music, cooking, reading, and pet therapy designed to maintain engagement and independence. Family involvement is encouraged throughout residency. Wesleyan Meadows serves active, independent seniors and is part of the larger continuing-care community.
It uses the Masterpiece Living framework, which emphasizes social engagement, purpose, and physical activity. Residents have access to a community center with a fitness room, woodshop, game room, library, and chapel, plus outings to local museums, concerts, and sporting events in Cleveland. All three communities employ licensed staff around the clock and offer varying accommodation options from independent to fully assisted living.
