It had a beautiful location, the Pacific Grove, with tremendous flexibility for options.

After visiting all the Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the area, we chose Forest Hill in October 2013 because of the ideal cottage apartment available (Bright 2 bedroom with full kitchen) and the great sense of family including residents and staff.

This was specifically what we did not want (skilled nursing) because her only medical ailment was dementia - which requires emotional care, checking in on her, explanations for what they are doing and want her to do, comforting her if she becomes confused or scared - not medical intervention.
