The community includes three dining venues (casual, bistro, and fine dining with table service), a heated indoor pool, fitness center, wellness services, gardens, and social spaces like a bar and card rooms. Housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and 24-hour front desk services are included. Transportation is provided for medical appointments, shopping, and outings. The community accepts pets up to 35 pounds and offers 24-hour valet parking in a heated garage.
A registered nurse staffs the wellness center seven days a week for consultations and immunizations. Fitness equipment includes treadmills, rowing machines, stationary bikes, weight machines, and free weights.
Vi at Palo Alto operates under a Life Plan model with two pricing structures. Residents pay an entrance fee (based on floor plan and repayment option) plus monthly fees that cover housing, utilities, housekeeping, dining, transportation, and access to the continuum of care. Monthly fees do not increase if a resident moves to assisted living or skilled nursing, except for community-wide increases and costs of additional meals or services. The professionalism of the staff which clearly worked as a team, the facilities for therapy were exceptional, the nurses and the CNA's worked together - no caste system, the physical and occupation therapists were exemplary, I did not have to remind staff for meds or therapy treatment or to hook up any of the devices used for treatment.
