About
Howard Village At every Laureate Group community, expect to find a choice of apartment styles and sizes in both independent and assisted living, numerous common spaces and attractive grounds. But that’s just the beginning. Look beyond the real estate to find the true heart of our communities. Not surprisingly, many people at Howard Village in St. Francis come from the communities on Milwaukee’s South Shore. They've chosen to stay in the area where they’ve worked, raised their families and maintained their close friends. You’ll find neighbors who want to stay involved. People attend art class, try Tai Chi or yoga, and play penny poker a few times a week. There’s Wii bowling, a book club, card groups, themed parties and special events. And members’ families are very involved and are an important part of the social fabric of Howard Village. There is always something to do, and someone to do it with. Howard Village is a community of people dedicated to helping you stay healthy, active and engaged so you can truly enjoy this time of life. Everyone who works here has one thing in common: an appreciation and respect for older adults. You’ll see it in the friendly smiles, the genuine interest in stories from the past and the way our staff relates to everyone who lives here. The offerings at Howard Village match the diverse make-up of those who live here. People are as active as they want to be. Every month there is a full schedule of social and educational opportunities offered to residents. In our communities, seniors do not merely reside. They thrive. That’s because ensuring their good health and helping them stay active and engaged isn’t merely part of a mission statement that hangs on a wall, it’s part of our daily routine. And our full-time Lifestyle Director monitors the number and types of programs at Howard Village monthly to ensure that a balance of social, wellness, creative, educational and spiritual activities are scheduled. Here are a just a few examples of Howard Village activities: Social Join a card club, the group that follows horse racing or play bingo. Plan to stop at the Friday night music or Sunday’s matinee.
